Thanksgiving

We headed to Paw Paw's Thursday morning after making mac and cheese and a plate of turkey cookies.
It was a beautiful day. We enjoyed some yummy food and good time with family.
We played outside. Patton chased the rooster while Micah played with cousins.
I am Thankful for great family, good friends, good health, and happiness.

Thanksgiving Party

Like most people, Micah had this whole week off of school. They celebrated Thanksgiving there last week. When he was 3 he was a turkey, when he was 4 he was an Indian. At 5 he was a Pilgrim. He made a handsome pilgrim if I do say so myself.
They sang some songs, ate a nice big Thanksgiving feast, and then played HARD outside. I chatted with an old friend and time got away from me. We seriously had to run to our car after the party. Micah has begun going to Dr. Alexander for allergy treatments. Praying hard that it will make a difference. Praying hard for Micah in general.....
Micah was treated for eggs. For 25 hours he had to avoid eggs and anything made with eggs. He passed. The next treatment was for mold and fungus. Thinking that may have something to do with his constant drainage, we'll see. He is currently being treated for Calcium. This one, like eggs is very difficult.

Just a little humor

This might be a little TMI, but It's a rare occurrance that I am actually able to go to the bathroom in peace these days. This morning Patton followed me, Micah wasn;t far behind at all. Patton was already pulling things out of cabinets. He pulled out a wrapped panty liner. Micah said, "Awe Patton, look at that little pillow. It's perfect for you."
The End.

Halloween (Finally)

Micah had a really rough day on Halloween and I was very tempted to just stay home, but we decided to go to the church instead. Micah was SO excited. He said "Halloween is the best year."
Micah made a Great Cat in the Hat if I do say so myself. P was the most squeezable teddy bear ever. Micah was SO excited about the cake walk, and even won.
His favorite game was the dog house, and he loved seeing Monkey Joe.
Take a look how similar my babies are in the teddy bear costume.....

Random Happenings

One day I'm sure I'll remember to bring my car camera in the house and load the Halloween pics.... But for now (as long as our internet is working, it's been off and on.... mostly off for the past 2 weeks! AWFUL) I'll catch up on some random happenings. We discovered early on, Patton LOVES pickles. If given the choice of sandwich or a pickle, he'll eat the pickle first :-)
Micah is truly growing up fast. The other day he came into the room and showed me this. He grew a beard :-)
Stacy has been working on a custom job for about a month. He finally got a nice check for part of it. It made our bank account VERY happy for ONE day! Somehow Stacy got audited through his Worker's Comp.... I woke up one morning, check the bank account like I do every morning, and the money was GONE! :-( Needless to say I got busy rolling change.... Don't think it'll make a dent. Do you?
I LOVE the fall. And have 2 boys who love to be outside too. Last week I let Micah skip nap so that he could play outside and "help" me cut the grass and blow leaves. After the work, it was time to play.

Differences and similarities

Micah and Patton are SO different.
Micah didn't take naps during the day until he was 7 months old, but slept through the night at 4 weeks.
Patton is the best nap taker ever. Yesterday he was whining, I asked him if he'd like to play or take a nap. He walked to his bed. Awe. He didn't sleep through the night until he was 13 months.
Micah played and still plays with his hair when he's tired. He also like tags.
Patton so far is content with his ear. Sometimes it's both ears.
Micah still doesn't understand "no." If he does, he ignores it most of the time.
All you have to do is tell Patton, "no sir," and he cries like it's the worst thing EVER.
Micah has a VERY high tolerance for pain. Sometimes I wonder if I'd ever know if he had a broken bone. Recently he got very moody, disrespectful, and mean. Sometimes Micah is not perfect, but this time he was almost unbearable. I kept asking him if anything hurt, his head, ears, tummy....nothing. I finally (after almost a week) decided that something must be wrong with him. I figured he had an ear infection. I was right. The Dr. said it looked like it had been infected for at least a week. It was bad. I felt AWFUL. I imagine he would have felt A LOT better, and a lot of my headaches could have been saved if I'd just taken him to the Dr.
Patton on the other hand, does show signs of pain. When he falls, bumps into something, closes his fingers in something.... you catch my drift.
Micah and Patton both Love music. Micah can hardly sleep without it. All you have to do is mention the word music to P and he starts dancing. He loves to dance. I do not play music for him to sleep to..... I think he'd probably dance the whole time instead of sleep :-)
Both of these boys can eat, and do. I'm sure that P could beat almost anyone in an eating contest. The boy loves food. Patton will eat almost anything, but so far he's not a fan of red meat. One of his favorites is pickles:-0 Micah, who used to eat anything has recently become more picky. His favorite right now is Subway and he will not even touch a pickle :-)
I am so happy that my boys are so different, I think it helps them get along. They LOVE each other and are the sweetest brothers. I hope they always love one another!

Pumpkins and Party

Not only did we get 2 pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, but as Stacy was following a truck he saw some pumpkins fall out. He brought home 2 more. We had 4 pumpkins this year. Although I think carved pumpkins are cool, I don't tend to do the carving myself. Stacy an Micah worked real hard on Mickey Mouse. He turned out sweet didn't he?
Last Friday Micah's class had their Fall Festival Party. Micah decided several months ago that he wanted to be The Cat in the Hat. I thought he'd make a good Cat, but when we got to the store, they didn't even sell the costume. After looking at all of the other costumes and even trying to buy an Angry Bird costume, we ended up ordering a Cat online. The party was very simple, pizza, fruit, cookies, and doughnuts. Here are some pics of the day....

Phone dump

I am LOVING my new phone. I got the iphone 4s and one of my most favorite things is the camera. I can almost do away with my point and click with this thing. I'd love to catch up on life in general, but for now here are some pics from the last couple of weeks.
We've been spending as much time as we can outside before it gets too cold.
We had one cold day and spent it at the mall.
Don't worry, we sanitized!!
Daddy got a job in Jacksonville with the Spaceball. Until the day before I couldn't decide if I should go or not..... Long story. I did, had a great time, but am still questioning my decision of going. Here are some pics and some people I got to see.
Mullet, with a UF blue comb....
Still wondering if Halloween had anything to do with any of this....
