Last week

All of the boys that live here Love to be outside. This is how you will find P if the others are outside, and he's not.And this is how you'll find him outside.Yes, I tried the broom thing. Yes it worked. (Multiple times)F0r Valentine's Day our local Chick-fil-A had a contest. It was on why your Valentine is special. About 40 people played. I won! Stacy and I got to have a free dinner date last week. I LOVE Chick-fil-A!Mama had surgery last Friday. We worried, and prayed, and stressed and prayed some more. Everything turned out okay. She's still tired and not quite 100% but the news was good. She is good. We are good!
Moonwalk season is in full swing, so that's keeping us busy for now.
Last Sunday was the last Gym Dog meet of the season. I'm hoping we'll be able to go the the SEC Championship. We won the last meet and celebrated at Chili's afterward.

Strep

Micah has it.
He is pitiful.
I picked him up from school and he asked me "Has your throat ever hurt."
I knew something was wrong.
Micah hardly ever complains about pain. Ever.
I thought a nap would help.
It didn't.
He woke up after 30 minutes crying.
Poor boy.
I woke Patton up and we headed to the Dr.
He cried the whole way there.
He got tested for Step.
He has it.
Micah cried all the way back home.
We had to stop at Publix.
He didn't swallow at all. he kept wiping his mouth on his clothes. By the time we left the store, he looked like he had been in a storm.
It was Really Really gross.
We got home. He cried a whole lot more.
I gave him gatorade.
He wouldn't drink it.
I gave him his antibiotic. I gave him Advil. I gave him throat drops.
He is a new boy already, but still contagious.
So much for that shirt that I bought especially for picture day TOMORROW.
I will take him when everyone else has had their pics taken. This is the last cap and gown pics I will have for a long time.
Tear* I'm going to miss Child's World
More Tears***

Our Saturday

The morning began with Stacy making chocolate chip pancakes for himself and the boys. P LOVED them, can you tell? Due to the awful weather on Friday night, the party that we were supposed to set up at on Saturday, cancelled. I was thankful. We had several things that we needed to do. We played most of the morning, the headed to the bookstore. Micah is loving to read The Magic Treehouse series. We were ready for #6 and didn't own it. I called and put it on hold at Books for Less. We ended up getting 4 of the books that we were missing for the price of 1 at Barnes and Noble. We ran a couple of other places before coming hom for naps. During naps Stacy and I worked really hard on taxes. This is one of my least favorite things in the world. Being that Stacy is self employed, we have to save EVERYTHING. It's overwhelming to say the least. I made a dent in my end, Stacy still has a lot to do, but all he could think about was burning what he didn't need. We've shredded s some much before, but burning is so much easier. Oh and Stacy is a bit of a Pyro. It turned out to be an ok day weather wise, just a little to chilly for me. I hung out by the fire for a little bit before returning to the warmth of my house.I hadn't been inside very long at all before I decided that it was time to prepare supper. As soon as I pulled out the quesadilla maker I got a text asking what we were doing for dinner. I quickly put the quesadilla maker away and we headed to Dacula where we met Sarah and Noah for Mexican. Kyle was at a party and Sarah wanted some company. We were having a good time eating when I heard someone call Micah's name. It was Nicco's brother Joey. Micah was SO happy. He ended up leaving our table to hang with Nicco and his siblings. This turned out to be a really nice weekend.

Party Time

Micah was SO excited when he came home with an invitation to Caleb's Monkey Joe's party. He was a little disturbed that Caleb didn't invite Ms. Mason though :) All the boys in the class were invited and Micah began the count down at 8 days. Caleb likes Star Wars, so Micah knew exactly what to get him. Stacy was off on Friday so after we picked Micah up from school we ran to Costco to pick up some things and to have lunch. We got of stuff and were eating lunch when I heard someone say, "It's Sims' family!" I was so happy to turn around and see Karen Potts. I got the update on her whole family and visited with her and Britt for a little bit. I was telling her how much I LOVED Micah's school when all of a sudden Ms. Mason walked by too. Micah ran and hugged her. He just couldn't get over it. He said "This is the best day. We got to have Costco for lunch WITH dessert. I got to see Ms. Mason two times. And it's Caleb's party day. I can't believe it." We had a Gym Dog meet, the next to last, so Stacy told me he'd take Micah to the party so that I could go to the meet. We did Very well and were ranked #4 and were up agaginst #3 UCLA, and we won! I made a point to go see Sarah and her family and chatted with Larry and Ethel who made it on the kiss cam :) I had a good time, and so did the rest of my family. I asked Stacy if he'd take some pictures at the party, I knew Micah would like that. Some were dark, some were blurry, but I'm just happy to have pics of the night. Micah had a great time, and Patton was happy that his friend Jonathan came ;)

Birds in the Bathroom

This morning I overheard Micah ask Stacy "What kind of birds live in bathrooms?" Stacy said, "I don't know. Birds live outside, not in bathrooms." "What about beside a toilet? I saw a nest beside your potty and I heard some tweeting. What kind of bird do you think made that nest?" By now I am almost in tears laughing so hard. There was no tweeting, it was imagined, but I explained that the "nest" beside the toilet was actually hair that I cleaned out of my brush this morning. I guess I missed the trashcan......

18 Months?!

I can not believe that my BABY will be 18 months tomorrow! It seems just like yesterday.... Well maybe not for me, but time sure has flown by. Patton B is the sweetest thing EVER. He is talking up a storm. My favorite word that he says now is purple, but he talks about dump trucks ALL the time:) I really need to sit and make a list of his ever growing vocab. He still Loves being outside and is so funny to watch. He likes to run, play ball, and be in the sand box. He has become quite the picky eater. We never went through that with Micah, so we're dealing the best that we can.... The boy doesn't like meat. He surprised us this week by actually eating some chicken nuggets :) Patton has loved playing with balls for quite some time now, but has recently discovered trains. He has one that Micah lets him play with because "it doesn't go fast." Patton will walk all over the house with that train turned on, but hardly ever puts it down to watch it go. Don't you dare mess with it though, or he'll let everyone know about it. The screeching has calmed down a whole lot unless you mess with something that's important to him. He LOVES his Daddy and runs to the door as soon as he hears the garage door. Have you ever seen anything so sweet?

Sand Fun

Today While Patton finished his nap Micah and I enjoyed some time outside. I had to use the bathroom, so I came inside for a few minutes. During this time, Micah also came inside. He climbed on a counter went through the cabinet and found the food coloring. When I finished, I went back outside and this is what I found!Micah decided that he'd like to play in colored sand. He got some on his fingers and tried to lick it off? He had the best time. He used ALL of the food coloring, but was most proud of his football field that said Georgia. What a silly boy!
