Birthday Fun

It seems like we are the most celebratingest family ever. We always have something to celebrate. September was the month for birthdays. We had Daddy's, Rowan's, Daphne's, and Hannah's. Every weekend there was a party. Now we get to have a short break until Christmas. I am WAY behind. BM I used to have ALL of my Christmas shopping finished before August, so that when the Black Friday sales came, I had money to buy fun things for myself. This year, I have not bought ONE Christmas present yet. We plan on doing things a lot more simple this year than in years past. Family gifts and gift cards are at the top of my shopping list, and you can't get gift cards on sale BOOO!
We have majorly been enjoying the cooler weather and playing outside has been all that's been on Micah's brain recently. He is up and ready to go out even before breakfast. I'll have to post some fun outside pictures soon, but for now enjoy the birthday pics.

I want this little girl!

For those of you would don't already know....I would love to adopt a little girl. Not to say that I will not have 1 more child of my own, but I think that Micah would LOVE to have an older sibling. This is the one I choose. (Please pause my music at the bottom for the full effect)

No, she's not up for adoption! But if she was, I'd be in line! I love her!

Wonderful day gone bad (AWFUL)

Yesterday began as a wonderful day in the Robinson house. Stacy worked, (always good news) and Micah and I went to a Meet and Greet. I have recently joined a group called Gwinnett Area Mommies. I thought it would be a good way of making some new friends with children Micah's age. The Meet and Greet was in Lawrenceville and there was a good turn out. The most exciting thing for me was that there were BOYS. It seems like most of the people that I know have girls, and I really wanted Micah to have some little boy friends. There were several boys around the age of 2 that Micah "played with." He loved the slide, toys, trucks, and I loved watching him interact with other children that weren't family members. There were a lot of Very nice ladies there that may end up being friends forever. I love to meet new people! So far the morning was going great. After our morning fun we decided that we'd surprise Stacy at work. We stopped by and surprised (scared) him, visited, and began our trek home. The afternoon was pretty uneventful, I went to the gym and then it was supper time.
Our bread man, produce man, best neighbor in the Whole wide world Cassio came over with our weekly delivery last night. I had recently learned (through Cassio's 6 year old daughter) that he was about to take a trip to Brazil (where his family is originally from) to do a job. I was told that he would be gone until December. But to make a long story short (I'm sick at my stomach as I write this) My bestest, favorite neighbors will soon be moving back to Brazil. Cassio has accepted a job and is leaving in 2 weeks. Luce and the children will remain here until December...then they'll be following. I am so sad! Who would have ever thought that I would be so sad over loosing a neighbor. But this family is not just our neighbor, but they are our friends. They have been wonderful to us for the 4 years that they've been here. I hope to be this kind to my neighbors as they have been to us. We will miss them a lot.

Day of pampering

Today has been a great day so far. This morning Stacy kept Micah while I used a gift card that was a Mother's Day gift. I went and got a pedicure and a deep tissue massage. I really enjoyed chatting with the lady who did my toes (she was one of MY friends) I have always gotten a french pedicure. I like the way that it looks, plus it matches everything. But get this....she told me that my toes were not made for french pedicures. What does that mean? I wasn't going to take a risk and have her mess up my FREE pedicure, so I let her have her way. I made the mistake of asking her what color she'd choose. She chose Georgia Red. I mean I love UGA, but I have never in my life had my toes painted that bright! Anyway, she finally, after a lot of convincing talked me into a magenta pink color....again Very bright for my taste. Anyway, I got my pedicure and LOVED my massage. What a wonderful treat! The only thing that could have made my day better....a trip to Cheese Cake Factory. But that's not happening. Oh yeah, when I got home the polish was already coming off of my toes....I just ended up taking it all off....Plus Stacy said "that looks like a color one of your friends would like." LOL

New addition

It seems like this is the time of year to make announcements about new additions. I have several friends who are adding to their families. So, I've got some news to share as well..... But first I'll give you a history lesson.....With Micah I had a very interesting pregnancy. I was sick all day most days for 30 weeks. He was born in the heat of summer (August 11) and cried 90% of the time until he was 4 months. He didn't take naps during the day until he was 7 months. (He did sleep all night long though) But what do you do with a 7 month old ALL DAY LONG? It seems like as soon as we got him settled and on some what of a schedule, he began to climb out of his crib. I was afraid that he would hurt himself (I broke my leg when I was little....climbing out of my crib) So we converted his crib into a toddler bed. He then fought sleep for days and slept in the floor when he did sleep....He cut back from 2 1/2- 2 hour naps a day to 1 1/2- 2 hour nap a day. He VERY Rarely ever sleeps through the night anymore (he's always been an awesome night sleeper...until now) and joins us normally between 2 and 4 to sleep in our bed. He is an uncomfortable boy to sleep with, tossing and turning, kicking and playing during the night. I need sleep! Micah is a very clumsy little man and trips over his own feet, other people's feet, and even air sometimes. He doesn't quite understand the word walk. He RUNS everywhere. He has been a joy to watch. I LOVE to see him learn new things. I have an awful memory, I wish that I could have a video camera taping him 24/7....but I can't. He is at my favorite stage so far. He walks (runs), talks, and understands EVERYTHING. (If only he would use the potty) He also repeats what he hears. Therefore don't say anything, you don't want repeated. I may be a little biased, but I think Micah is the smartest, cutest, little 24 month old boy that I know. :)
Anyway, on to our Very Exciting announcement.....I am so sorry that I am sharing this with the whole blogging world, before I have even told my family, but here goes.....Stacy and I have been expecting for 3 months now and delivered our new addition last night! Take a look and the proud new big brother!
LOL I, unlike my friends, can not blame my weight on my baby.... I grew my baby outside in the yard....and man was it tasty....how many of you can say that about your babies?
Now for your viewing pleasure....Micah enjoying being back outside after all of the rain we had last week. He is a hoot!
