Oh, what a week!!

It all began Saturday morning when I got a call from Stacy in Athens telling me that he thought his bullet (which he shot himself with) disappeared. The bullet, which he chose to not have removed, has been right beside the skin on his right lower shoulder for 18 months now. Well he was very worried. When I got to Athens I looked at his back and it was (excuse me for being gross) a puss filled circle. We had a wonderful day at UGA, but when we came home, he drained the spot. He put a bandaid on it and we went about our lives.
Sunday Stacy had to work, and I went to the rent's house for lunch. We celebrated Nut's birthday and had a lot of fun. After lunch, I began to feel the strangest thing in my throat... it felt like it was closing up. I have never had an allergic reaction like that, but something at lunch wasn't good for me. I seriously thought I would die, so I said my goodbyes, hoping to see Stacy before I died. I was on my way home when I received a frantic call from Stacy asking me where I was. I told him that I was on my way home and asked what in the world was wrong with him. He said "I need you to see something when you get home." He wouldn't tell me any more. Well, I got home and Stacy showed me his back.... there was a perfect ball point pen sized hole in his back. I looked in, and saw the bullet. GROSS!!! Long story short... Stacy worked trying to pull the bullet out himself for 2 hours before I called Cary for help. Cary then worked on it until after 11:00pm trying to get it out. It was turned sideways, and attached to something. It was going to have to be taken out by a surgen. Stacy took some pain medicine and we went to sleep. On Monday I called the doctor Stacy originally saw after shooting himself, and made the earliest appt... for Thursday morning. Then I proceded to take Micah Man to the doctor. Micah is in the process of being caught up on his immunizations. I chose to have them delayed for various reasons. These were his first shots since he was 4 months, so he had NO idea what was coming. He recieved 4 shots and did remarkably wonderful! I was so proud of him. We celebrated by going to a nearby toddler park to play.
On to Tuesday.... My turn again. I got to go to my yearly appt on Tuesday. The doctor said that everything looked fine, but I am going to have some tests taken, because no matter what I do, I can not loose weight. I am stuck. I can go to the gym and work out HARD 5 days a week, and not even loose a point of a pound. So I'll keep you updated on what we find out. Oh yeah, I didn't die from the allergic reaction either, it either went away, or I forgot about it with all of Stacy's problems :) Wednesday was a pretty uneventful day. I went with my neighbor and her baby to help her get some things for college (she's going back to school) and we went to the Kidsignment sale in Lawrenceville. It seems to me like everyone in this area LOVES the sale. I have been one other time and only found junk, so I thought I'd try again. I found a lot of junk, but I did buy some books....you can never have too many books.
Thursday morning Micah and I took Stacy to the doctor to have his bullet removed. The whole procedure took a total of 5 minutes (maybe) Everything came out well and Stacy only had to get 2 stitches. The doctor (who we love) gave us quite a discount since Stacy has no insurance... we only had to pay $88! Not bad if you ask me.
After such an eventful week, I thought it would be best to just hang out at the house today and get some things done. I decided to do a little yard work this morning since it is so nice outside ( I am ready for fall!!) We we in the garage this morning when Micah tripped over a fan cord and fell. He rarely ever cries from pain, so when he began screaming, I knew something was wrong. I'm still not sure how it happened, but the poor little man had a nose bleed. Thank goodness I had a job in P.E. BM, because I never knew how to stop a nose bleed before that. We worked and worked on that nose for a long time, and I think it has finally stopped bleeding. I hope you all have enjoyed catching up on our eventful week. I'll leave you with some pictures.

Picture Day 2008

Our family took a trip to Athens yesterday for UGA Picture Day. Stacy showed up early to get a ticket for a picture with Mark Richt. They only gave out 250 tickets and we were lucky number 19! We met some of our friends at the stadium and hung out with them for a good bit of the day. The actual day consisted of waiting in line after line after line. Thank goodness for food, pacifiers, cool weather, and sleep. Micah was on his best behavior. The poor little man spent a lot of time in his stroller yesterday, but did a lot of running around as well. While meeting Mark Richt was Stacys and my favorite part of the day, Micah loved meeting Hairy. We got some great autographs and good pics as well. The countdown is on 13 more days! GOOOO DAWGS!!!

2 Year Old Pictures

Kiddie Kandids inside Babies R Us has to be one of my favorite places to go. We took Micah last night for his two year old pictures. They turned out wonderful! I love this place because you get your pictures 10 minutes after you choose them, they can even color in things. For example, if we took Micah to have his pictures taken and he had a scratch on his head, they use a cool thing on their computer that will color the scratch and make it appear to not be a scratch in the photo. I think it's the best thing EVER invented! next they need a tool that will open eyes! I tend to be an eye closer in photos. Enjoy the pictures! Which one is your favorite?

Micah Man is Two!!

It seems like just yesterday we were bringing our little boy home from the hospital, and yesterday he turned 2! If you ask him how old his is though, he'll say 6. He is a bit small for a 6 year old, he's probably a bit small for a 2 year old....but man is he quick. Very rarely does he ever walk. He runs here and there all of the time. We hope that he'll be able to run like me (or like I used to be able to) one day. We celebrated Micah's birthday on Saturday. His party this year was a lot smaller than last year. We had a family only (with one friend) party. The theme this year was John Deere and I think everything turned out wonderful. The weather was beautiful, perfect for swimming and the company was great. Micah got all kinds of fun presents and they have been keeping him busy for the past few days. We are so thankful for the cool weather today. This morning we were able to be outside enjoying his outdoor toys.

Yesterday was Micah's actual Birthday so we let him choose what he wanted to do. He's been talking about "cheese" for over a week now, so we took him to Chuck E. Cheese's. We all had a blast! Micah rode rides and played games and had so much fun. We'll have to take him again, that's for sure!

*Singing* Happy Birthday to me

Friday was my birthday. I turned the BIG 28! The celebration lasted all weekend! For my birthday Stacy and Micah gave me one of the coolest gifts ever.... I got a Cricut. It's a personal dye cut machine, it will be perfect for scrapbooking, and I've also made a few Thank you cards as well. Friday we celebrated my birthday at the pool along with family. I got some money, always wonderful (to get some pictures developed.) On Saturday Stacy and I had a date night and went to The Spaghetti Warehouse and to see Step Brothers.
Mama and Daddy watched the Man, and they enjoyed hot diggity dogs. Sunday we had lunch at the Rent's and celebrated my birthday for the last time this year. I got a cool tupperware cup, from the Rosbury clan, and Nut and Jerms got me a celebrations Cricut program. (which I have used in making my Thank you cards!) Now the countdown is on for the Man's big NUMBER 2! YEA!
