Patton is ONE!!

It is So hard for me to believe that Patton is one! This year has flown by. I always call Patton a dream baby. He is just so easy. He is so easy going and over all a great baby. I also like to joke that Patton is the reason people have 19 children..... Not me though:) Patton's stats are as follows 21 pounds 12 ounces (75%) and he is 29 inches (25%) Keeping up with the rest of us eh? :)
Patton's celebration began on his birthday. We bought Stacy a truck. Then he (well, maybe I) choose Olive Garden for dinner. It's time for the never ending pasta bowl! Patton LOVES to eat! He ate 3 breadsticks minus all the garlic, 3 slices of tomato, and nearly half of my pasta! Man oh man what are we going to do if he keeps eating like this? I have very recently introduced him to "real food." Because he has 6 teeth I figured, why not. His favorite so far has been PW's country fried steak. He loved it and talked about it the whole time that he ate it. Patton doesn't walk yet, but can speed crawl when he wants to. (When he sees me sweeping, sees the door open to the outside, or if he hears the bath water running) He loves Micah, being outside, and sticking anything and everything in his mouth.
We celebrated Patton on Sunday. We had a good time. After just having Micah's party, Patton's was way more low key. We just ate and swam Oh my goodness did I ever have a hard time choosing my favorite pics. So beware there are a lot! First, here are the cups that I made for the guests. Aren't they cute?
Patton's cake came from Publix. I just took them the party plates and told them to match them.... Not bad eh?
Some of Patton's little friends came, and that was fun.
We had cake. Patton didn't know what to think at first. I was sure he would dig right on into the cake. It took him a few minutes, but he figured it out :)
Did you really take the cake away? I wasn't finished :(
Patton enjoyed all of the presents too. Overall we had a Great party. Thank you to Ms. Martha for taking pics, Mama and Daddy for use of their pool, Daph for being the official cake cutter, Nut and Jerms for even more pics, and Ms. Cindy for the sweet birthday bib..... Hope I'm not leaving anyone out :) We sure do have the best friends and family!! Love you all!

Here she is!

Within the past 3 years, we have had to replace and rebuild the transmission in Stacy's truck TWICE! It is just not strong enough to haul the amount that he hauls. When the truck began giving him problems a month ago, he thought a tune up might help. It did help as far as gas milage went, but the transmission was the issue. After A LOT of thought we decided that we'd HAVE to get him another truck. I was SO happy to not have a car payment. All of our vehicles were paid for as of a year and a half ago. In this case, there was no choice. We would have to take a risk of dishing out another $1500- $2000 for another transmission to last him Maybe another year or 2, or get a stronger truck. We went with the latter. After A LOT of searching we found the perfect truck that fit his needs and was within our budget. Here she is!

No dancing on the diving Board!
Micah has come SO far this year at the pool. He has been a great swimmer, but decided before his birthday that he's start jumping off of the diving board without a float. The boy is a fish, I don't know why he didn't do it earlier, but he kept saying "when I'm five." Anyway, he's been jumping and doing cannonballs for over a month now. On Friday at family swim Micah was dancing on the diving board, slipped, fell, and got beat up. He ended up being okay in no time.... I'm thankful the pool is a saltwater pool. That probably helped..... But from now on, No dancing on the diving board!

Picture Day

The rules were changed this year. No one could bring items to have signed. There were posters for free that you take with you. When we heard this, we knew we wouldn't be getting any autographs this year. Stacy headed to the stadium real early anyway to get a ticket for a picture with Russ who is filling in for Uga. Me and the boys stayed home and got some much needed rest. Stacy came home, got us, and we headed to Athens. We had lunch at an old favorite The Grill. I used to Love the place, but was less than impressed on Saturday. As soon as we finished eating we headed to the stadium to wait for pics. Patton loved people watching. Micah had his ipod to keep him entertained. We waited for over an hour, but the results were priceless!
We were not rushed at all this year for pics, and I feel like I got a lot of good ones. So did the newspapers, because not only were the boys in the online versions of both the AJC and The Athens Banner Herald, but they were in the Sunday Banner Herald paper version!
After Russ pics Stacy really wanted to see a sample of the new uniforms and I really wanted a pic of the boys with Hairy. We headed upstairs. It was way less crowded than downstairs with the football players. We saw the swim team, volleyball team, and the Gym Dawgs! LOVE them! After some quick pics with Hairy (Look at P's face!) and the cheerleaders, we headed to the Gymdawgs' table.
There was no line for the Gym Dawgs. Christa Tanella asked if she could hold Patton. I had No problem with that. Before I knew it, the coach was asking if he could take a pic of them. I had no problem with that, he put the pic on Twitter and called it "Shaking hands and kissing babies. " :) Before I knew it, all of the girls wanted to hold P, so they just passed him down the line. It was so sweet!

Our newest addition

Several weeks ago Daphne's friend surprised her with a baby shower. She had NO clue. She had said that she didn't need anything for the baby, but every baby needs to be celebrated doesn't it? A lot of people came and Daphne got a lot of good stuff. We all had a good time.
I got the call last Tuesday saying that Daphne's Dr. decided to induce her. She wasn't really looking forward to this at all, but before we knew it Gavin Mace was born! He was a BIG baby at 9 pounds 5 ounces. The biggest one yet! Wednesday we headed to the hospital to visit and meet my newest nephew. He sure was cute. He reminded me a lot of Christian in the face.
When we got to the hospital Mama was there loving on her newest grandbaby.
We all took turns holding sweet Gavin.
Even Patton Loves his new cousin.

Can you tell this family is excited about Number 7!?
