Sad Times :(

It's been days since I have been able to load pictures onto my blog. Apparently there is only 1GB worth of free photo space. I've been using this address since 2008, and it has finally been filled up :( I tried to trick blogger and create a new blog, but they recognized my email. Therefore my choices were to pay $2.49 a month for more GBs which is not bad, but who knows if you can ever choose to cancel (the Help center was worthless) OR to use another email address and start a BRAND New blog. That was the route I chose. So if you'd like to hear about the rest of our trip, Thanksgiving, the search for a new vehicle, or just see sweet pics of our family you'll have to bookmark http://funwiththerobinsonfamily.blogspot.com Thank you and have a great day!

Getaway Day #1

Stacy and I headed out on Saturday evening. We drove to Greenville for the night. While in the hotel I read about the city. I thought that it looked like a beautiful city and since we couldn't check in until 3:00 on Sunday, I thought we should check out Greenville. We headed out Sunday morning. We went downtown and had breakfast, it was such a nice city. It wasn't very crowded  and was so pretty. We parked and walked to Falls Park. It was a little chilly but we had a nice time. There were SO many beautiful spots for pics..... For a photographer, it would be a dream place!

We hung out most of the morning and then continued on our way to Asheville. We got there around lunch time. We stopped at Juicy Lucy's. Stacy had seen it on Food Network and thought it would be fun to try. After lunch we headed to Biltmore Village and spent the rest of the afternoon walking and shopping. There were so many cute little shops. We finally went to our hotel and checked in. I was much more impressed with this hotel than the last. We ended up staying in a Days Inn in Greenville.... It seriously gave me the heebie jeebies! This time we stayed at the Double Tree and it was Perfect! We even stayed in the "Vanderbilt Executive Tower" Fancy huh?

Thanksgiving Lunch

Last Thursday Micah's school had their Thanksgiving lunch. All of the parents were invited. I was sure that I would not go. I told Ms. Greene that Stacy was planning to go, but I thought that I'd stay home. I wasn't sure if I'd be watching Riley or not, but really.... I do not like school lunch rooms. I have had my feel of them through the years. I don't really care for lunchroom food either, so I thought I might just skip out. Ms. Greene let me know that as long as food is involved, there is always a good turn out. And although I might not be the only parent that wouldn't go, Most would. I decided that I would go. I am SO glad that I did. I got to talk with several teachers who Micah has contact with. They ALL love him. Each one of them made a point to let me know why they like him so much. He is a hoot for sure. Overall the experience was not as bad as I had expected. I didn't eat, but Patton LOVED the food. Micah was SO excited to see his principal serving lunch.

Our sweet family in the lunchroom.

Micah with just a couple of the people that he loves at his school. I, too Love Ms. Greene, but Micah has a new love for the S.RO. LOL

At it again

I wanted to do something fun with Micah's class for Thanksgiving. I love the thankful turkeys and always look forward to see what Micah is thankful for year after year. One day last week I got it in my head that I would go make those with them. Also one day last week was PACT day. It stands for Parents and Children Teaching. For a half an hour during the middle of the day the parents could go to the school and help with the lesson. I asked Aiden to babysit and I headed to the school. No one else came, which doesn't surprise me anymore. When I got there they were making a list of the things that they were thankful for.  They said family, dog, cat, fish, (then MIcah got excited and told me that he was going to say God) Someone beat him to it, so when it was his turn he said Rainbows...... So interesting, but it made the cut, unlike president. I got to help Micah and his friends with a math problem about pilgrims and indians. I talked with Ms. Greene and learned that they were already doing a thankful turkey. So change of plans.... I searched for something that might be fun for them and came up with a "Thanksgiving Story Bracelet." Here's the poem that told them what the colors stood for.

They turned out cute. Only one child didn't make one. He had a major break down. He cried very loudly, threw some things and had to leave the classroom. It was quite a sight. I have never been one to complain, but I feel so bad for the class (they see this daily) and I feel bad for the poor teachers. It's sad. I did send the principal a very nice email. She responded back very quickly and said that she was at a conference and would Call me that evening. I was NERVOUS! I didn't know what she would say, but I wanted to let her know that I am concerned about Micah's safety. She did indeed call me. We talked for 30 minutes. She assured me that they were taking every step that they could in having the child placed where he needs to be. She was So nice and seriously all but offered me a job at her school. She informed me that she just filled one position, and will be hiring another in the near future. What a compliment, and to think I was scared.......

Halloween

Although Sweet Patton was still set on being Spider man, we got some more use out of his lion costume. Micah had a cute little caterpillar costume, I thought he might put it to use, but he ended up LOVING his chef attire and wanted to wear it again. He did and everyone Loved it. We headed to the church's festival. It was COLD and windy. We played all of the games, got a ton of candy, and saw a lot of our friends.
Afterwards we went to Taco Bell (Patton's choice) to eat. It was late, both boys were high on sugar, so we headed home. Nut texted me and asked if we were coming by her house. We took a quick turn and surprised her. After a quick visited we headed home for a nice quick bedtime :)

Career Day

Micah's school had career day last week. Micah has wanted to own a restaurant since he was 3. Therefore dressing as a chef was the way to go. I found an apron and chef hat for super cheap at Hobby Lobby and had Ms. Ann fix them up for me. Didn't she do a great job?!

I ended up going to the school to help with a scarecrow craft and was able to get a picture of the 9 kids in the class who participated. Along with a chef, some teachers, rockstars, football player, and fireman is Michelle Obama!

Just a few Patton things...

If you ask Patton what he was for Halloween, he'll answer "Spider man." The story is that I thought I already had a costume that would fit him, I didn't. We went to Party City and bought the lion costume. All he could talk about for 3 weeks was Spider man. I thought about trying to find him a Spider man costume (Party City did not have one in his size) but I didn't ever do it..... Poor poor baby :(

Patton loves to add suffixes to people's names. He always changes things up, sometimes I'm Mama mo mo but mostly he likes to call me Mama mia. I don't mind it. I think it's funny when he calls Micah- Micah Bee-a, or Micah bo bo, but my most favorite of all is Daddy Homo! LOL

Patton loves Chick-fil-a, but does NOT love the Chick-fil-a cow. He likes to check for him All the time. He wouldn't even give him a high five when we saw him at the fall festival.

He calls Fire House Subs, Firehops.

He LOVES pizza and also likes  Loves to talk about Pizza Hut, Johnny's, and Papa Johns. If he could eat pizza every day the boy would be content.

It's looking like his life revolves around food.... It most likely does.

Patton Loves "Baby Riley." And Noah is his best friend. This morning our conversation went like this
P "Noah coming?"
Me "No. Noah's going to Mississippi for a race"
P "Sarah race?"
Me "Right"
P "Noah misses Patton"
Me "You're probably right."

Patton is a sweet sweet boy!
