Water Boy

Filtered water from the fridge, Dasani, water balloons, pools, water tables, water hoses, baths, showers.... It doesn't matter where the water comes from, Micah Man is a water lover (who wouldn't be when it's as hot as it is?) Well we got up bright and early 6:40 to be exact so that we could try to beat the heat a little bit and wash the Explorer. It will be coming on vacation next week and I thought it might like a little cleaning. Micah is a great car washer, He washes the parts of the car that have already been washed and dried, he loves to let the soap dry on the car, and would rather spray the person washing the car than the actual car. And let me tell you that water was mighty chilly this morning. After he "helped" me clean the car I was more than happy to fill up his pool and let him take a dip. I even hooked up the sprinkler for the first time and let him play in it. We had a nice cool morning, now bring on the heat! (Take a look at that tan line :)

Fun Father's Festivities

Father's Day began with Sweet Stacy making his Early morning run to get me a newspaper. I have become a coupon freak and can't pass up a good deal, thank goodness I have Stacy to make the run for me every Sunday morning, being that the AJC no longer delivers to this county, he must make the trek to Gwinnett in hopes that the papers are still there :) He's a pretty good husband alright. He is also a great Daddy. I have long awaited the day when Stacy and Micah would have boy time. They now do all kinds of fun things together. One of their favorite things is The Home Depot Kid's Workshop. Stacy and Micah both have a love for tools and hammering things is right up Micah's alley.

Anyway Stacy returned from Publix to a wonderful breakfast made by me. This is pretty big in it's self because I normally just have a Slim Fast for breakfast.... But this special day I made something special for the Daddy at our house. For lunch I let Stacy choose where we'd eat.... His choices were all from places that I had purchased giftcards from Restaurant.com for. He chose Jeffrey's. We hadn't been there in a while and it was quite tasty.... especially when we all ate for less than $20 (with tip included) Here are my boys at Jeffrey's in their Twinkie outfits :)

After a visit from Stacy's parents and nap time we headed over to the Rent's to celebrate my Daddy. He was not in great shape. He's been having Kidney stone problems and thanks to the milkshake the day before he wasn't feeling so hot. Needless to say there are no pics of him. While he stayed inside feeling awful, we partied outside at the pool (surprise surprise) We swam Picked Blueberries And even had homemade Chocolate Chip Ice cream! Could it get any better?

Daddy's Day @ Chick-fil-A

You've gotta love Daddy and you've gotta love Chick-fil-A. Yesterday I received a phone call from Daddy letting me know that if a child took their Father to Chick-fil-A today, the father would receive a free Milkshake. Who would pass up going to lunch at Chick-fil-A anyway? Not me! Stacy is out of town until this evening so Mama, Daddy, Micah and I had a fun lunch including a Free Milkshake today.

Boo Boo Boy

We have been so busy during the past few weeks I feel like I haven't had time to blog. We've celebrated birthdays, worked numerous events, spent time with friends, swam, swam and swam some more.

Our family has had a once a week "Family Swim" for as long as I can remember. Anyone and everyone is invited. Everyone gets to catch up on the going ons and the children have a blast playing with one another. I look forward to it every week because if I haven't said it before I Love to swim! Today was a family swim day we began this morning and didn't end until everyone was just beat. Today was fun, but I had a major Micah scare. Micah is a Tough boy. He hardly ever gets hurt, but he is known to get into a little trouble every now and then. He is Very Inquisitive! I (along with everyone else) tend to keep a close watch on him. Today I watched as he and a cousin walked near the pool pump, and behind a storage bin. I was thinking to myself that Micah would escape and the cousin would follow, so I was relieved to see them return. In the blink of an eye Rowan who is surly our family's best chance at having a future ball player picked up and threw a rock....it hit Micah in the head. It did crack his head and it bled a good bit. Next to throw up, blood is the worst thing for me, so I was feeling a little sick.... Daphne, Mama, and Martha took care of him, cleaned him and assured me that there would be no need for stitches. Daddy, on the other hand wants me to cut his hair so that it will heal! That probably stressed me as much as the accident itself. I Love Micah's hair. I want it to grow, not chop it all off! Micah is fine and only cried for maybe a minute. Although I think that he might have been in a little pain (his head is as hard as a rock) I think he was surprised. Here's the Boo Boy himself :)

Pool time

I Love Love Love the pool and wish that I lived some place that I could swim outside all year long.... Maybe one day! We had our very first pool party of the year last Sunday. It was perfect and I would have stayed in all night if I could have. Monday and Tuesday were packed full of running here and there, so I planned to have a pool day on Wednesday. My dear friend Theresa and her son Logan joined Micah and me for some fun and sun. I'm SO looking forward to being in the pool a lot this summer. Check out this darling suit that Mama bought Micah Man this year. It cracks me up...He's such a little Marshmallow Man :)

No Paci, Poo Poo in the Potty Pizza Party

We finally had it! Micah has been paciless for a while now, but has had a major problem with pooping in the potty (TMI?) I won't go into detail or anything, but he made a BIG step 2 weeks ago, and has been doing a whole lot better with this. We had bribed him with almost everything known to mankind, and Chuck E Cheese's did the job. This evening we celebrated and had a No paci, Poo Poo in the Potty Pizza Party. We had fun. We have accomplished a lot this year and the Next step is School! :)
