Pumpkin Patch/Hayride

Micah's school had their hayride/ pumpkin patch last week. That day turned into one of the best days I have had in a while. Although it was chilly (COLD) in the morning, it warmed up to be so nice in the afternoon. After I dropped Micah off at school I had to run and get gas before the hayride began. It began at 9:30 sharp. I am not one to be late, but talked on the phone a little too long and barely made it to the wagon on time. Maybe it was because I was late, maybe it was that he wanted to be Mr. Independent, Micah didn't even sit with Patton and me during the hayride.
With Micah in the front of the trailer and Patton and me in the back, we were bouncing along enjoying our trip when one of Micah's teacher's said "what are they doing?!" I looked and said said, "I don't know. WAIT that's my MAMA." Mama planned on coming, but was a little late, so instead of running to catch up, she drove and followed the hayride in the her car. LOL She was happy she got to be in the warmth of her own car :-)
We took some pics and headed to playground. I was able to chat with a couple of parents that made me very optimistic that private school MAY very well be an option for us. I have been praying about this for years. I have been doing research and really hope that some doors open soon..... Meanwhile, I left the school feeling very positive.
We had plans to meet one of my old friends and her daughter at the mall. We ended up bumping into another friend, packing several tables with all of our kids and strollers. But we had such a good time. We talked, and laughed, and even cried a little. I think it was about 4 when we finally left the mall..... That's a long time for a Micah who went to school, and a sweet Patton who hasn't napped all day. But it was well worth it. I HAD FUN :-)

Afternoon in the country

Last Sunday we headed to to country to spend some time. We had another dutch oven cookout and visited with family. The weather was Perfect and I was able to get some sweet pictures of P.

Crayons

For about 2 years, I've been saving crayons. Last week Micah and I worked real hard peeling the paper off of SOME of the crayons.
We quickly realized we'd rather peel no name brand/ cheap crayons, than Crayola any day.... After some hard work and sore fingers, Micah had some new crayons :-)

Party Jumps fun

Saturday we had an event at Dacula Park. It was a fundraiser and there were a lot of fun things going on. We brought five inflatables and the space ball. Micah rode the space ball for the first time and loved it.

After riding the space ball Micah did a cake walk.
Although he didn't win, he had a lot of fun. He won a t shirt. And over all had a great day. He couldn't stop talking about how much fun he had.

Eli's Party

Micah's buddy Eli turned 5 a couple of weeks ago. We went to the party. It was a science experiment party. Micah was most excited to see the volcano cake that Eli had been talking about for weeks.
The children watched and then got to participate in various experiments. Micah LOVED the mentos in the 2 liter coke the best. He also enjoyed seeing what a bar of ivory soap looked like after a minute in the microwave.
It was a fun party, and a fun family day!

It's fall

Fall is here and we have been spending as much time outside as we can. Although Micah would live outside, I typically stay in during the winter. We have been enjoying the weather. Maybe all children like to be outside, I don't know. I do know that we are past the point of letting Micah go out without Patton. If Patton sees Micah outside, he will stand by the door screeching until he gets to go out too. Here's our family enjoying the day.

Space

Micah has a new love, it's outer space. I don't really know a lot about it. I can't answer many of his questions. I guess I need to do some research because when he asks me questions all that I can think of is the Saved By The Bell episode....mvemjsunp. That's all.

Pumpkin Patch 2011

We headed to the Pumpkin Patch yesterday afternoon only to discover, that they only have farm activites Friday-Sunday. We didn't go on a hay ride, we didn't see any pig races, but we did get some good fall pics. And we had a great time enjoying the beautiful weather and company.

We saw the BIG pumpkins and got a big group pic minus Mama.
The boys took some time to rest.
Mama showed up late, but got to enjoy a nice long walk around the patch with Micah.
