Oh, what a week!!

It all began Saturday morning when I got a call from Stacy in Athens telling me that he thought his bullet (which he shot himself with) disappeared. The bullet, which he chose to not have removed, has been right beside the skin on his right lower shoulder for 18 months now. Well he was very worried. When I got to Athens I looked at his back and it was (excuse me for being gross) a puss filled circle. We had a wonderful day at UGA, but when we came home, he drained the spot. He put a bandaid on it and we went about our lives.
Sunday Stacy had to work, and I went to the rent's house for lunch. We celebrated Nut's birthday and had a lot of fun. After lunch, I began to feel the strangest thing in my throat... it felt like it was closing up. I have never had an allergic reaction like that, but something at lunch wasn't good for me. I seriously thought I would die, so I said my goodbyes, hoping to see Stacy before I died. I was on my way home when I received a frantic call from Stacy asking me where I was. I told him that I was on my way home and asked what in the world was wrong with him. He said "I need you to see something when you get home." He wouldn't tell me any more. Well, I got home and Stacy showed me his back.... there was a perfect ball point pen sized hole in his back. I looked in, and saw the bullet. GROSS!!! Long story short... Stacy worked trying to pull the bullet out himself for 2 hours before I called Cary for help. Cary then worked on it until after 11:00pm trying to get it out. It was turned sideways, and attached to something. It was going to have to be taken out by a surgen. Stacy took some pain medicine and we went to sleep. On Monday I called the doctor Stacy originally saw after shooting himself, and made the earliest appt... for Thursday morning. Then I proceded to take Micah Man to the doctor. Micah is in the process of being caught up on his immunizations. I chose to have them delayed for various reasons. These were his first shots since he was 4 months, so he had NO idea what was coming. He recieved 4 shots and did remarkably wonderful! I was so proud of him. We celebrated by going to a nearby toddler park to play.
On to Tuesday.... My turn again. I got to go to my yearly appt on Tuesday. The doctor said that everything looked fine, but I am going to have some tests taken, because no matter what I do, I can not loose weight. I am stuck. I can go to the gym and work out HARD 5 days a week, and not even loose a point of a pound. So I'll keep you updated on what we find out. Oh yeah, I didn't die from the allergic reaction either, it either went away, or I forgot about it with all of Stacy's problems :) Wednesday was a pretty uneventful day. I went with my neighbor and her baby to help her get some things for college (she's going back to school) and we went to the Kidsignment sale in Lawrenceville. It seems to me like everyone in this area LOVES the sale. I have been one other time and only found junk, so I thought I'd try again. I found a lot of junk, but I did buy some books....you can never have too many books.
Thursday morning Micah and I took Stacy to the doctor to have his bullet removed. The whole procedure took a total of 5 minutes (maybe) Everything came out well and Stacy only had to get 2 stitches. The doctor (who we love) gave us quite a discount since Stacy has no insurance... we only had to pay $88! Not bad if you ask me.
After such an eventful week, I thought it would be best to just hang out at the house today and get some things done. I decided to do a little yard work this morning since it is so nice outside ( I am ready for fall!!) We we in the garage this morning when Micah tripped over a fan cord and fell. He rarely ever cries from pain, so when he began screaming, I knew something was wrong. I'm still not sure how it happened, but the poor little man had a nose bleed. Thank goodness I had a job in P.E. BM, because I never knew how to stop a nose bleed before that. We worked and worked on that nose for a long time, and I think it has finally stopped bleeding. I hope you all have enjoyed catching up on our eventful week. I'll leave you with some pictures.
