Rowan is FIVE!

Rowan really liked the hayride at Patton's party and said "This is my best birthday ever!" Since he liked it so much, Mama thought he should have a hayride at his party too! We headed back up to the country to celebrate Rowan. His party came complete with super hero things galore and a hayride too!

We all had a nice relaxing afternoon. I was able to have my hair done by the wonderful designer Aiden. (I did her's too) Aren't we so cute?! LOL

Rowan got all kinds of super hero masks. We all took turns trying them on. This has got to be one of our craziest sister pictures EVER!

New post below :)

Brave

One Friday (that's my day without Riley) I felt very brave. It was a cloudy morning and as soon as I dropped Micah off at school, I headed to Publix for balloons. I saw a picture not too long ago and I wanted to try it SO bad with sweet Patton boy. After I paid for the balloons, we headed to the park. In my head I was going to snap the PERFECT picture of him in a field surrounded by balloons. My plans did NOT go as expected. P was Not in the mood for pictures at all. Out of the 30+ pictures, I got ONE decent one.....
It'll have to do because the rest turned out like this!

My Baby is TWO!

It is SO hard for me to believe that sweet Patton B is Two! I love that baby boy so much! Every day that I get to see him learn or say something new, I am so proud. He is the sweetest little boy! He is so laid back and easy going, but at the same time is so fun. He loves dump trucks, tractors, gators, pretty much anything with wheels, so a Construction party was the way to go with him.

Mama suggested that we have his party at The Gathering Place in the country. I went back and forth, although I thought it would be fun to have a hayride, I was afraid that people might not want to drive so far for a party. I thought that it might be hot and miserable. But we decided to have a party in the country anyway. I am glad that we did because it turned out perfect. The weather was perfect, and other than one family of sick boys and Ms. Martha and Hannah, everyone came! We had a lot of fun.
I made construction hats for PBR Construction Company :)

We had a hayride and played. Everyone had a great time.

We ate cake and had a piƱata.

We had planned for the party to be from 4-6, but it was almost 9 when the last people decided to leave..... I think the party was a hit!

Perfect Attendance?

Daphne graduated high school and NEVER missed a day of school. She had perfect attendance throughout elementary, middle, and high school. It's hard for me to believe. I had perfect attendance during elementary and middle, but by the time high school rolled around, I was finished with school. I participated in every skip day that there was, and was even involved in the marketing program so that I only had go to school for half of the day, and I got to go to work for during the afternoon for school credit. I have been wondering whose footsteps Micah would follow. The boy Loves school. He even asks to go on the weekends. It is a good thing, because Micah is the last person you ever want to argue with about doing something......
Well there will be no perfect attendance this year. Today at 11:15, I got a call. Being that it was a Winder number, I assumed that it was a moonwalk call. I was wrong. It was Micah's school telling me that he was sick. He had a fever of 101.8, was complaining of a sore throat, and a headache. We have a Dr. appt this afternoon. He is pale, has bloodshot eyes, and is miserable. Patton woke up with a fever this am, so I figured, why not have them both checked out. So along with Riley, we'll head to the Dr. and hopefully get some answers. Wish me luck. The rule is "If you leave school because of a fever, you can not come back for 24 hours." That means my little buddy will be home tomorrow as well. Ready or not!

Side note- Micah's class got book buddies. They are in the first grade :)
Me: Do you like your book buddy?
Micah: I think so.
Me: Did he read you a book?
Micah: Kind of. He couldn't really read.
Me: Is he not a really good reader?
Micah: Not really.
Me: Did you have to help him.
Micah: He didn't know some of the words, but I didn't help him.

Daddy's Day

We celebrated Daddy's birthday a couple of weeks ago. Sweet Jerms cooked out and made some delicious food, the rest of us pitched in sides and drinks. We had the party at Nut's house. The kids always are happy to have events there. They like to play in the back yard and love the Kinect. We had a great time. We laughed and visited for a while. Daddy got dressy shirts and ties from all of us :)

Fair Time

I seriously LOVE the fair and was so sad that we missed it last year. Stacy thought we should hold off on the Gwinnett County fair and go to the North GA fair since he was planning to attend a concert there. We waited. The Gwinnett County fair came and went. I'm not sure what happened with the N GA one, wether it was Stacy's schedule, maybe he changed his mind.... Either way, we didn't go at all. This year I made  point to let him know that we were going the very first chance we had. The fair began on Thursday. Friday we had the race, Saturday we were crazy busy with inflatables, Sunday it was. I knew there was No way that we'd be able to go during the week this year. Micah is still wiped out every day after school and is in be no later than 6:45 and asleep.
On Sunday everyone took early naps and we were ready to go by 1:30. We got to the fair around 2 and Micah was in Heaven. He was able to ride (and wanted to ride) a couple of the Big rides this year. He was a little unsure of the roller coster, and the Tilt a Whirl, but rode them both with Stacy.

He rode all kinds of kiddie rides and was most looking forward to the bumper boats!

His favorite though were the fun houses. He LOVED the Mirror house and did it at least 5-6 times. I believe that if we had let him, he would have just stayed there the whole time.

Sweet P is still too small (for my liking) for most all of the rides. We let him do the flying elephants, the carousel, and the whole fam took a ride on the Ferris Wheel.

Stacy got his much loved funnel cake, and all was good!
