Micah is a hoot and everyone that comes in contact with him gets a kick out of him. The boy cracks me up. Last week one night we were planning on going out to eat. Patton was a little fussy and I asked him if he just wanted to stay home while we went out to eat. Micah said that "Maybe he could stay with Randy (our neighbor)" (I always threaten to make Micah stay with him.... although he's a nice guy and we really like him, he would be far from a great babysitter and Micah knows that) I thought Micah's response was funny so I asked how Randy would feed Patton. He quickly responded "with a mug" (This is very funny because Randy likes to drink) I said, "a mug?" And Micah said "Yeah, a milk mug." LOL I said do you mean a bottle. Micah said, "oh yeah, a bottle." LOL "Milk Mug."
Micah recently was playing his ipod and downloaded a game called Christmas Tap Zoo. Then ended up making an "in app purchase" This meant that he needed no password. Once he was playing the game, he could buy "extras" for the game. He ended up buying a "satchel of coins," He bought this fake money with my real money. Overall he spent $50!!
While playing outside yesterday Micah went over to Randy and pulled up his pants leg showing Randy his scratched up knee and said "I really wish I had a boo boo book so that I would know what happened."
Last night while Micah was supposed to be in bed, he got up and came into the kitchen because he was needed a drink. I told him that he needed to go back to bed, and stay in his bed and go to sleep. He sometimes thinks that in the middle of the night that he needs to join us in our bed. I told him that he needed to sleep in his own bed. To which he responded "maybe my feet won't walk in your room tonight."
Micah's quote of the morning "Mama, do men have babies?" "No, why?" "I was just nervous." LOL
And it's only Thursday. On Monday we celebrated MLK day by doing a little shopping at the mall and we also got Micah a MUCH needed hair cut. My Old Navy trip was very successful and I was able to get $444 worth of clothing for $83! I got several gifts, but mostly things for the boys and man in my life. I very rarely ever buy things for myself and this trip wasn't any different and I even looked. I would love a new pair of black dress pants to wear to church.... no luck in my size on Monday. Maybe next time. Take a look at my finds!Tuesday Micah went back to school!! He was so excited, but so was I. The boy needs school and Loves it (for now anyway) After I dropped him off, I headed to the mall again. This time it wasn't to shop. I met my dear friend Sarah and Noah. And we mall walked. Sarah had never mall walked before and was surprised at the number of people who did it. When Micah was a baby, Mama, Ms. Martha, and I walked at Discover Mills several times a week..... Those were some good times. I Really need to be back at the gym, I want to be back at the gym, but finding time is an issue. Our gym doesn't offer child care, so I'd either have to hope that Patton would sleep in his car seat while I worked out or go when Stacy comes home, but sometimes (most times recently) it's been late. Needless to say the mall walk did this body good. Plus, it's always fun to catch up with a god friend. I have several friends who all had babys around the same time that I did. One of them only lives 10 minutes away, but or babies had yet to meet until today. This morning while Micah was at school my friend Courtney came over and brought little baby Jack. Jack is 2 weeks older than Patton and is a sweet little thing. We had a great time chatting and catching up. It was a good day! Did I mention Patton slept through the night for the first time last night?! I hope it wasn't just a fluke.... I hope it's the beginning of many more restful nights for me. Micah was sleeping through the night at 4 weeks, Patton is almost 5 months! I'm ready! Tomorrow we have a play date with a boy in Micah's class. The mother seems really nice, and not only has a son Micah's age, but has a baby too.... I think he's 9 months. Looking forward to tomorrow and a fun weekend too..... maybe.
Micah is growing up. He can now say his Ls. I miss him saying Aunt Ya Ya, and eweven (11), and I wuv you. He says a lot of things more clearly now than he did even last week. It's a little bit sad to me. But he still says things that just crack me up. The newest thing is Patton's exersaucer..... For some reason uknown to me, he calls it a "bunger seat." What in the world? I don't know, but Micah LOVES Patton. Everyday, I am just in awe of how much Micah loves him, and as of right now the feeling is mutual :) Patton watches Micah all of the time and even laughs at him sometimes. I love our little family.
Although I really thought that we'd get some more snow when the weather men starting giving warnings, I wasn't real sure how it would end up. I prepared and bought some extra food just in case. At the birthday party, the Rents invited us to come stay with them. We thought about it, for a little bit, but when I brought up Sims' Hill to Stacy he decided that we'd go. After the party we headed home to pack. It wasn't a quick and easy task. I had never packed for snow before, especially not knowing how long it would last, and not even knowing if we'd have power. We showed up at the Rent's shortly after supper, put the boys to bed and it began to snow. Between the time that the boys were put to bed and time that we went to bed, the ground was covered with snow! It was falling so quickly! On Monday we woke up, ate, and got dressed for the snow.
We played and played and played. We all took turns sledding down Sims' Hill. We took a walk down to the road and had a fun morning.
We came in for lunch and naps and ended the afternoon by taking a walk down to the lake. Stacy had never seen the lake, so I thought it would be fun to take a hike in the snow. We bundled up again, and off we went. It's a good hike down hill to get to the lake, but once we got there, I knew it was worth it. It was beautiful. With no snow/ ice it is far from beautiful.
We ended up staying at the Rent's house all week. We had a lot fun, but eventually we had to get back to real life....
It sure was fun while it lasted, and we kept power the whole time which makes it even that much better :) This snow was no where near snowman making material. We couldn't even make a ball on Monday morning, and by the afternoon, it was ice. You know what they say though, if snow stays on the ground more than 3 days we'll have another snow.... Maybe we'll be able to make a man next time.
I learned that Fireman rain boots may have not been the best idea. I was woken up before 7:30 on a Sunday morning to the sound of sirens. Micah thinks he needs to sound like a firetruck while wearing them :)
Micah found the fake wedding ring that I had to wear when my fingers were SO swollen when pregnant. He was so excited and told me that he wanted to get married. I asked him who he'd marry and he told me he would marry me. Then we proceded to get married, which for Micah consisted of holding hands and walking around in circles (similar to ring around the rosie) After we were married, he put the ring on his finger and that was that. :)
The most exciting part of our day other than the wedding was a birthday party (post later) Two of Daphne's girls were celebrated. Micah was SO excited that Terren and Belle were having a party. He even chose their presents. We had Cracker Barrel for lunch and Micah made sure to tell EVERYONE who we came in contact with about Terren and Belle's party. ALL he could do was talk about the party which was at 2:00. From sirens at 7:30, to non stop birthday talk from an extra hyper boy we had an exciting day for sure....only to end with snow :)
Not Chick-fil-A's either, although it is quite delicious if I do say so myself. Long before Chick-fil-A announced that they would be introducing a spicy chicken sandwich, or the new spicy chicken biscuit, Micah had made plans to open a restaurant called "The Spicy Biscuit." I'm not sure what all he'll serve there, but he does plan to deliver. He even pointed out a truck similar to the one he'll use one day. It was an old work type pick up truck complete with wooden rail sides :) Micah is already saving for his business and all of the money that he gets goes into the "Spicy Biscuit Fund." He has decided that most everyone that he likes will work there. He has appointed cooks and servers.... I get to deliver. The restaurant will be in North Georgia, but Micah plans to deliver everywhere, just the other day he said that he'll deliver to Alabama because, "people in Alabama eat biscuits too." Man I love that boy.... I'm just ready for him to be off of this amoxicilin for his ear infection. He is EXTRA hyper while taking it, I just want my normal hyper, semi-obedient Micah back :)
Is it really 2011? I am SO thankful! 2010 had to be one of the.... no, the hardest years of my life. There were a lot of hard things, but also a lot of blessings. First, we found out that we were expecting an addition. I was Very sick. And even had to move in with the rents for extra help. The months seemed to just drag by until Patton was born. I was SO excited to have my body back, but 5 weeks after he was born, I began having gallbladder attacks. 6 weeks after they began, I had my gallbladder removed. I did not feel well at all and had to move in with the rent's again to recover. I pray for health and happiness in 2011. Here is the Baby of the year and his big brother :)
