Memorial Day

Memorial Day is always a fun day for our family. Not only do we get to go to the parade, eat Sonny's, and celebrate Jerms', but it's the first family swim of the year. The pool has been opened for several weeks now, and although Micah has been in a couple of times, I hadn't gotten my whole body in until Monday. And it was Perfect.
Monday morning, we headed to Dacula to save our normal seats for the parade. Finally the rest of our crew showed up right before the parade began. Here are some of the pre parade pics.

Hannah taught Micah how to tie his candy bag on his pants so that he didn't have to hold it:) Doesn't he look so grown up?

 Every one LOVED when the Dacula marching band played and shuffled to "Party Rock Anthem" It was Fun!

Micah was most excited to see the police tank, but it didn't even come this year. He did enjoy seeing his school's float, and his friend Lane on a horse.

I seriously laughed until I cried when Dacula's mayor Jimmy Wilbanks came by. Micah said "Pam-pa, he looks just like you?"

P enjoyed the parade too, and even got to eat a little candy. 

After the parade, and, lunch, we headed to the pool for a nice relaxing afternoon. We ended with singing and cake for Jerms.

Take me out to the ball game

Last Saturday night we got together we some of our friends for supper and a ball game. We all LOVE Mexican, there is a decent place by the stadium, so we met, ate, and headed to the stadium. I feel like our family is one of the only families that hadn't been to a G Braves game before. We all had a blast. Although we could have easily found seats, we opted for the lawn. The kids ran, climbed, rolled, played, and had ice cream. Every once in a while they would watch the game:) I bought Micah a bracelet so that he could jump, slide, and throw at the inflatables. He was as happy as could be.

I just had to include this picture of Ms. Annette and Micah. Ms. Annette is Ashley's mom and she totally hooked us up! Both boys got baseballs and they were So happy! What a perfect ending to a perfect night! We love our friends!!

Last day of school

I was sure that I would cry, but I didn't...... While we were at the picnic anyway. I have loved every second of every day that we have spent at Child's World for the last 3 years. Micah has had a great year and I am so sad that it's over. Stacy was off and was able to come to the end of the year picnic with us. Micah requested chicken, bacon, ranch from Subway and got it. Patton thought he was all big and wanted to eat with the big kids. Mrs. Mason gave all of the kids bug catchers and tools to catch bugs with. They were a hit!  

The kids played and played and then they got to decorate their own ice cream. 

I guess they separated into boys and girls table for desserts:)

Out of the 15 children that were in Micah's class, there were a total of 4 including Micah that have been at the school all 3 years. 2 boys and 2 girls. Micah already misses his friends 1 week into summer break, but has NO clue Really that he's about to have to make ALL new friends :( He'll be okay, it's me I'm worried about..... 
I have a lot of old friends with babies.  So play dates for Patton are not hard at all. But not a lot of my old friends have big kids.  So I have had to make new friends with people who have 5 year olds. I am very outgoing and never in my life thought that I might have a hard time making new friends, but it's not easy for me. I have met some of the nicest people ever during the past few years at Child's World. Hopefully some of the friendships will last outside of Facebook. I had Stacy take a quick shot of some of my friends from the past few years. Man I'll miss these girls! (And their boys too)



 

Friday through Monday

As I got ready to blog about Mother's day, I realized that there were several other things that I had forgotten. Thanks to my pictures, I remembered. We had our dear friends over for dinner last Friday. Due to crazy schedules and the fact that Theresa has been in school, we haven't gotten to spend as much time with the Brays as we would like. At the last minute I decided to invite them over for a cookout. They were happy and came. We ate yummy food, put the backyard and the basketball goal to good use. We had a great time with our old friends. 
 
Saturday was a slower day for Party Jumps, so we were able to get some things done around the house. We stayed close to home and got to have dinner at Micah's favorite Mexican joint, and since it was so nice, we enjoyed dinner on the roof.

Sunday was a fun day. We had planned to go to the country and put Mama's area "The Gathering Place" to use. Mama had invited all of us sisters plus our in laws to come. Although I didn't think Stacy's parents would come, he invited them anyway. Well, they didn't come and neither did Cary's parents :( Mama tried...... Jerms' side of the family came and it was So good to see Ms. Cindy and Mr. Jeff. They are so sweet.
Well, the gathering at "The Gathering Place" was changed at the end of the week, due to the expected rain. It was much better. We gathered at Daphne's instead and stayed as dry as possible.  I was able to catch a quick shot of Ms. Cindy and her boys.

And then some more from the rest of the day. 

After we left Daphne's my boys took me to Long Horns to celebrate. I had a great day! I can not wait to share what I got! It's a Mother's Day/ anniversary present in one and I am Super excited! It comes this FRIDAY!! YAY!
Well, the 14th has come and gone. I've had it on my calendar for 2 months now:( Monday was registration at BES. Micah is going to be a kindergartner. 
 
I can not believe it! I was a little nervous, but things went very smoothly. It wasn't crowded at all. Micah was taken from me as I filled out all of the paper work. They told him that he was going to play some games.... Really from what I gather it was more like tests. They checked his vision, his hearing, had him count, but asked him to stop at 39? He told them some colors and shapes. LOL I know he's ahead of the game, but I know we've decided the best thing. The total time that we were there was 45 minutes. I did it, I registered him, but I still question all the time, is this the right decision? I think it is, but I'm scared to loose my baby boy:( That's all for now.....
