Although I didn't feel much better on Saturday, Sunday, or today..... I HAVE to be better soon! Saturday night was the second home Gym Dogs meet. Micah asked to go last season, and has been wanting to go this year. I thought he'd enjoy it, but then Daphne made me realize, 2 hours is a long time for a child to sit content for something like that.....Especially Micah:) Well, Daphne's family celebrated Cary's day on Saturday and skipped the meet. That meant there were several extra tickets. I thought a 4:00 meet would be the perfect time to take Micah. But before I knew it, not only was Micah going, but so were Stacy and Patton. Nut had a baby shower so she was Very late, but Micah LOVED the meet. He loved the music, Daddy's binoculars, the pom poms, glow sticks, you name it. He did SO good. He only asked once "How much longer." That was about 5 minutes before the meet was over. Oh yeah, we got to our seats 30 minuts before the meet was scheduled to begin. The meet didn't start on time, it began about 25 minutes late. So Sweet Micah was well behaved in his seat for THREE HOURS?! Patton LOVED the music and danced most of the time. He'd walk from person to person sitting in laps. He and Daddy had some good bonding time.Stacy couldn't pass up the cotton candy, and was surprised at what a good time he had.Oh yeah, and we won the meet! Gooooo Dogs!
Micah's class went on a field trip today. He's never asked me to go on one with him, until this one. I was happy that he wanted me to go! I really Wanted to go, I go to ALL of the parties. The truth is, sometimes he behaves better when I'm not around. I did not want him to get in trouble at Pizza Hut. I let him know that I was worried about that. I wanted him to know that if I went, I wanted him to be calm and on his Very best behavior. I decided that I would go, and knew in my head, that if I needed to, I would just leave early. I dropped Micah off at school.... He was excited beyond belief. I ran by the carwash and headed to meet them. By the time I got there, they were already in the back and I had to knock on the door several times before I could even get in. They said I didn't miss much. The kids got to go on a tour of the back and even got to make their own pizzas. This was a lot of fun for the kids.
Here they are waiting patiently to make their pizzas.Micah deciding what he'd like on his. (Cheese, ham, and bacon)Again, waiting patiently on the pizzas to cook.Waiting for their lunch to be served. And the pizza is served.Micah LOVED his pizza.Patton did too.And Back to school they go:)Over all I'd have to say that I had a GREAT time. I was very nervous, but MIcah did fine. Other than the fact that he was up and down out of his seat 100 times, and couldn't sit on his bottom to save his life..... It was Good. Really Good. I am glad that I went:-)
Patton did it. He said bye bye. He didn't say it to me, or Stacy. He didn't say it to the grandparents, aunts, uncles, or even Micah. Patton said bye bye to Ms. Pat, the lady who watches him at the gym. It's a little sad to me, but at least he's learning to like the gym. He is doing MUCH better and I was even able to stay for an hour and a half today! Man, I love my sweet sweet P!
Micah chose a poptart for breakfast. For whatever reason he does not eat the "crusts." This morning after tearing them to pieces he put the big pieces onto Patton's plate, but left the crumbs on the table. I asked him to clean them up. I thought he's dust them off into the trash can. He didn't. He raked all of the crumbs in the floor. I said, "Micah, what in the world?" He said, "I thought the dustbuster might want breakfast too." And he dustbusted them up....
Just one of the many nicknames for Patton B. He is growing SO fast. I just can't get over it. He is the sweetest little thing. He LOVES balls, all kinds of animals, Daddy, Micah, and being outside. He mostly likes to play whatever Micah is playing, but he likes to push a little shopping cart around, and carry his favorite books around. We typically read his favorite 4 books at least 5 times everyday. The boy really likes to eat, but is not a big fan of meat. Unlike Micah at this age, he loves bread of any kind. Although we wondered at first if he'd ever talk.... There is no need to worry, he says shoes, socks, light, hot, cup, up, ho ho ho, chip, daddy, baby, Micah, Mama, Mam-ma, Pamp-pa, uh oh, truck, duck, dog, moo, ball, football, hey there, and there are probably more that I can not remember.
We had planned to go to the Game Ranch on Micah's day off of school. I thought it would be fun for Micah to have a friend there. Eli's mom was sick, couldn't go. Hannah was sick, couldn't go. And Maggie was running a fever, couldn't go. 3 strikes and you're out. I had thought Monday was going to be a beautiful warm day.... It was not. Micah had a really rough morning, but I knew we had to get out of the house. I texted Sarah at the last minute to see if she wanted to meet for lunch. Micah chose pizza. We met, it was nice. After lunch I took her to see the house that we're interested in purchasing. Then we drove all around town looking at houses. I am SO happy to know that Sarah and Kyle are looking in the same area. Sarah and I have been buddies for a LONG time, but have never lived in the same town. We've been as close as 30 minutes, and as far as 2 hours. To think that we could be 5-10 minutes apart would be SO FUN, especially now that we have babies :-) Micah LOVES looking at houses, but doesn't understand that you can't go into every one.... especially if they are not even for sale. "Just ask them if you can go in," he says :-) Wouldn't that be something, if someone just knocked on your door and wanted to take a look inside... A little scary, if you ask me. I get scared of the Jehovah witnesses knocking on my door....
Nut was most excited when one of her BFFs from school asked her to help her coach basketball this year. I was so excited and wanted to go see her in action as a coach. She sent out a schedule a while ago, and I never remembered about one game. I was SO happy when I got a reminder about an afternoon game last week. We planned to go right after nap, the problem was this is what I found when Patton woke up!Since he's been hanging out at the gym, he's had a slight cold. I plugged in a new humidifier during his nap on this particular day. When I found this awful scene I was sure something had gone terribly wrong, or that he had a disease, one. I couldn't even tell what in the world this awful stuff on his nose was. It was black. Micah and I were both a little (very freaked out.) Until I realized and remembered Patton's scratch on the side of his nose. He must have scratched it in his sleep and when he slept on his side, that's what happened. Anyway, after cleaning P's nose, to the game we went.
We got to the school right when the team was finishing warming up. I didn't get many action shots due to the fact that I had a baby in my lap, but here's Nut getting her coach on:)Not only did the Rosbury clan come, but Daddy did too. Ms. Cindy goes to ALL of the home games and this time Jonathan came too. Nut had a BIG cheering section:)In other sad news......
I booked our sitter (Mama) earlier this week for a MUCH needed date night. We may have gone a date since last Feb, if Black Friday counts, but I don't think we have. Our last date consisted of BAD food in a rush at Red Lobster, we couldn't be late for the Brad Paisley concert.
We were both extra excited about this date. The plan WAS to use a giftcard that I got for my birthday WAY back in August. Ahhhh The Cheesecake Factory. I could practically taste it after my 10 days of cleansing.
Our morning consisted of house shopping. Stacy says we'll be out of this house within the year. Maybe we will, we'll see. We found the perfect house on the perfect lot minus a basement. I LOVED it! It's where we want to be, but if it's where we're supposed be, we have to figure out what to do we this cozy home with a PERFECT yard......
After lunch, we headed home for naps. Mama worked until 4:30, so we headed to her house around 5:00. We ended up chatting and not leaving there until close to 6. I knew that if we went to The Cheesecake Factory, we wouldn't get there until 7, would have to wait until at least 7:30, you catch the drift. If we went there, there would be no movie. We had to decide wether or not to see a movie. Now I wish we had gone to the Cheesecake factory.....
We ended up at Long Horns. A 30- 45 minute wait turned into an hour+. We finally got seated and the air was on. It was Freezing, I couldn't wait until my food came so that I could warm my hands over my plate. I was SO cold! We enjoyed our food, and after checking in with Mama, we decided to go see a movie. I didn't have a clue about any movie that was playing. Stacy had seen a commercial for a movie called "The Devil inside." I thought it would be a scary movie. I typically like a good scary movie. This was by far The WORST movie/ documentary I have EVER seen. It was BAD. I will not go into any details. It was sicking! I will just say that I barely made it through the movie. As soon as I got to the car, I vomited in the parking lot. I had AWFUL dreams and couldn't sleep at all.
Needless to say, Micah's call at 7:30 came too soon. Hoping for a good today, and a better night. Also hoping that Stacy and I will have a Valentine's date...... Better than this one. At least we're "making memories."
For the first time ever I had Breakfast at IHop.
I built a lego Fire station for the 4th time since Christmas.
Stacy came home after being out of town since Tuesday morning.
I didn't get to go to the gym today, because of IHOP (it was for a meeting, I Promise)
Breakfast ended up being lunch.
Stacy helped me cook supper.
We had Pinterest food samples. Surprise! It's a Plus for Pizza Bites and Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas.
I did 2 loads of laundry.
I did dishes including people's dishes. I can't stand dirty dishes. I don't mind if they were used for cooking. I nearly get sick thinking about touching silverware that has been in someone's mouth. Much less their dirty plate...... I simply can't stand it! It is BAD. I did dishes tonight, all dishes, and my food stayed down.
Patton is sick. I'm sure he got it from the gym, but he's sick none the less. Hoping it's just a cold, but thinking it's his throat too :-(
He's alseep (for now) Stacy is taking care of Micah.
I'm about to put on my PJs and relax to some of my happy Thursday night shows.
Oh yeah, the Lego fire station is no longer intact.
The end. Good night.
I am making no sort of resolution this year at all, I do have some goals that I'd like to accomplish though. The first one I've almost failed, but it's not my own fault. I Never let laundry get out of control, but find that sometimes I skip a day. I plan on keeping all of our clothes clean this year. If you're not wearing it, it's in the machine.... It's just easier that way. The problem is, our machine broke last week. I had t decide, should we buy a new machine, or think that we'll be able to fix our's for cheaper..... It's all about money. Long story short, we were without a washing machine for 4 days! Our machine is fixed, working as good as new, and all of the clothes are not only clean, but put in their homes.
Just like everyone at this time of the year I want to loose weight. I just finished a 10 day cleanse. I have more energy and lost 6 pounds. Not too bad if you ask me. I have been going to the gym every day other than Thursdays and weekends. Patton still dislikes the gym in general, but through his poor tears reached for Ms. Pat the worker today when I dropped him off :-( I really need that "Me time" and I know that P will be ok eventually..... Hopefully :-) Anyway, this time next year, I HOPE to be smaller!!
Thanks to Pinterest, I have been doing really good at cooking more. I have found a ton of things that I'm excited to try. Most are not low in fat or calories, but maybe if use portion control it'll be ok :-)
Lastly, and I began practicing this right before the new year. We'll see how it goes, but I'm trying my best to be kind to Stacy. I won't expand on that..... I can use a lot of reminders...... BE NICE MIRIAM! :-)
So during the past week I have been so busy. I have been going to the gym most every morning other than weekends. Patton was getting better at the end of last week, but after taking Saturday and Sunday off, it was like starting all over again this week. I feel so bad for the poor guy. He is the easiest baby, unless you leave him. I began a cleanse last week. Before the cleanse I cooked Stacy's favorite sandwich..... Thanks to PW I had one happy man :-)
We've been spending a lot of time outside and Stacy and MIcah have had a fun time flying their helicopters. Patton just wanders :-)
Last Thursday Paw Paw turned 87 so after I picked MIcah up we headed to the country to celebrate. Paw Paw has recently moved to an assisted living home to try to gain some strength back. He decided that he's like to come home for his birthday to eat beans and pepers. Look closely at all of the things he got excited about, it makes me laugh. I told him that I would NEVER request any of those foods for my birthday, Martha said "or ever!" Strange choices if I do say so myself, but Paw- Paw was happy to enjoy a tasty lunch with some of the family. The sad news is that Ginny made a birthday cake for Paw-Paw and he said that Grandmother always made his cakes, and that if she didn't make it, he wasn't going to eat it..... So sad :-(That sweet picture of Mama and Patton was taken right before Micah and Patton went outside. I was sure that daddy was watching them, boy was I wrong. Micah and Patton went down the hill and found the water. Water, dirt, Patton, and Micah= One muddy buddy. I was in the explorer and didn't have a change of clothes for P. I rinsed out his DIRTY clothes and threw them in the dryer. Thankfully there were some clothes for him to walk around in until his were dry, but LOL he looked like a little girl from the eighties. Poor P :-)
After lunch Paw-Paw wanted to go on a Gator ride real bad.... So did Micah, I never turn down a chance to sit back and enjoy a nice ride, so off we went.
It was a beautiful day! I love the country!
Oh yeah! On a side note, we went to Stevie B's a few weekends ago, and I hit the jack pot for the second time. We're saving MIcah's tickets, he has over 700!
